All branches of Vetcare have digital radiology viewers, allowing closer viewing of the area of interest, easy access to archived X-rays and easier storage.

X-rays provide a view inside the pet’s body, and it is an essential diagnostic tool that helps your vet detect and prevent illnesses. We can view the abdominal organs, the heart and lungs, and visualise bones, allowing us to detect fractures and arthritic problems.

Most pets will require a sedation to perform an x-ray, as it is very hard to get them to lie still.

Hip and elbow scoring is another service we provide, where hips and elbows of certain breeds of dogs can be assessed through a scoring system that is provided by the British Veterinary Association. If they score at a certain level, then breeding will be allowed.
